Dr Adekunle was born in Ila Orangun, Osun State, Nigeria. Dr Adekunle obtained his Bachelor of Engineering, Masters of Engineering and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Degrees in Mechanical Engineering in the year 2009, 2013 and 2018, respectively, from the prestigious University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria.  Dr. Adekunle was a TWAS-CSIR Pre-doctoral Sandwich awardee in 2016. He worked with Dr. Dayanand Paswan and Dr. Mrs. M. Malathi at the CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory, Jamshedpur, India, on the development and characterization of hybrid fuel briquettes from lean grade coal and torrefied biomass. The feedstock produced from the TWAS-CSIR sponsored programme was patented with the Federal republic of Nigeria. The work also produced Fourteen (14) articles in top journals housed by Nature, Elsevier, Springer, Wiley online and Taylor and Francis. He has over 150 articles in reputable international Journals of his young career.  He has Four Patents of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on his research efforts. He has 6 chapters- in -book.  The collaborations of Dr. Adeleke and Dr. Paswan is still on as several research works on the use of torrefied biomass and lean grade coal are ongoing. He was formerly the Chair for the Sustainable Development Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) Research Team of Landmark University. A former Postgraduate Coordinator for the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Landmark University.  Dr. Adekunle is currently a Senior Lecturer and the Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Nile University of Nigeria, Abuja. He is rated as part of TOP 50 Researchers based on scholarly output among Tens of thousands in Nigeria from 2019 till date based in Scival. Based on SciVal scholarly rating, Dr Adeleke is the best researcher in Nile University of Nigeria since 2022 till date.  He led his Team to win the award of the Best Research Team among the 15 Institutions within the Honoris United Universities across Africa in 2023. Dr. Adeleke and his research team are currently working on producing direct reduced iron from Nigeria Iron ore using lean grade coal and torrefied biomass as source of energy and reductant. The project is a massive one that can changed the face of iron and steel industry in Nigeria.  His teaching career is spot as he take students on strength of materials, applied mechanics, extractive metallurgy, manufacturing technology, Iron and steel making processes among others as he continues his growing career. He is a member  of the Prestigious  Nigerian Young Academy, a member of the Nimeche and a Coren Registered Engr. Dr Adeleke is a prolific writer who does not major only in academic/research writing but also morals, values and spiritual issues as his blog host over 170 articles on THE PROCESS. It is a daily write up to inspire young ones to be best they can be in life. He is happily married to Temitayo Adeleke and they are blessed with wonderful kids.
